Assessment Psychology
Online is a work in progress created for
the purpose of providing useful,
reliable and authoritative information about psychological
assessment, testing, and practice management for
practicing psychologists.
APO also provides useful information for
allied mental health
professionals, primary health care
providers, educators, students, and patients.
APO
is edited and published by
Dr. William E. Benet, a Florida
licensed psychologist and member of the American
and Florida Psychological
Associations. Dr. Benet is a graduate of the
University of Florida and Florida Institute
of Technology with doctoral degrees in clinical psychology and
education. He also has a doctoral specialization in reading disorders,
and was an Organization of American States
Research Fellow in Jamaica with the Jamaica
National Literacy Board.
APO originated in 1998 as a small collection of
links that Dr. Benet selected for
his office website,
Benet Clinical
Assessment at WEBenet.com. By 2005, the
number of links had grown to the point where more space was needed, and
Assessment Psychology was created , which
now includes more than 2,500
primary sources of healthcare
information on the World-Wide Web.
APO continually
strives to provide information about
psychological assessment, testing and
practice management that is
useful, reliable and authoritative. AssessmentPsychology.com supports and is accredited
by
Health on the Net Foundation (HON), a nonprofit
organization, based in Geneva, Switzerland,
that was founded in 1995 for the purpose of
promoting the dissemination of authoritative,
trustworthy online medical and healthcare information
for practitioners and consumers.
